Mitsubishi Outlander Details

Lining up hot competition for the Honda CR-V, India’s own Hindustan Motors might soon unveil its Mitsubishi Outlander. The company plans to begin trial production of the Outlander by mid-2008 and launch it soon after wards.

Outlander showcased at the Delhi Auto expo garnered large number of customer and is one of the most expected vehicle of 2008. New Outlander crossover is meant to run on tarmac. It is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC engine mated with a six speed manual transmission and six speed paddle shift. The engine pumps out 170PS of peak power at 6000rpm and a peak torque of 226Nm at 4100rpm.

Outlander is capable of hitting a top whack of 190km/hr.


Outlander will be available in six colours - river blue,silver dew,cascade white,sunrise yellow,pasture green,new moon black and twilight red.

The vehicle would boast of an advanced suspension package which includes monotube dampers and coil springs at all four corners. The car maker is expected to roll out the Outlander in one trim level which will be fully loaded to include a high-end entertainment system, replete with four six-inch speakers, twin dome tweeters, a 10-inch sub-woofer and a 650 watt amplifier as standard.
